He has translated novels, screenplays, and journalism for major trade publishers and university presses and has written for The Washington Post, The New York Times, The New York Review of Books, The Sunday Times of London Insight team, New York magazine, Columbia Journalism Review, Lapham’s Quarterly, The Paris Review, The Village Voice, and both Advertising Age and Adweek. He has translated two books by Primo Levi as well as television series and films by Paolo Sorrentino, Luca Guadagnino, and Peppe Fiore. His translation of Gianni Rodari’s Telephone Tales received the American Library Association’s Batchelder Award. He lives in Washington, D.C.
