This is a high school plane geometry text with accompanying Learning Guide. Student learns the basics of plane geometry, and learns also how to do geometric constructs and accurately copy lines, angles and various shapes. The subject of geometric proofs is introduced, and the student reads, contributes to and then does some simple proofs. The course includes several hands-on practical applications of plane geometry to the real world, for example, how to use triangles to build strong structures. One exercise has the student go outside and find the angle of elevation of the sun. Another has the student go outside and construct a square with 30-foot sides.
