Participating members of the higher education community are verified and updated with a 99% response rate. All institutions listed in the Directory are accredited by agencies recognized by the Secretary of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation.

Higher Education Publications, Inc. was formed to continue producing a directory to succeed the Department of Education’s Education Directory: Colleges and Universities in the new form of the Higher Education Directory(R). The mission is to support the higher education community by gathering, verifying, customizing and presenting meaningful industry information at a reasonable cost and with a premier level of customer service.
