Ivor F. Goodson is Professor of Learning Theory at the Education Research Centre, Mayfield House, University of Brighton. Christopher J. Anstead is a Research Officer in the Faculty of Education, University of Western Ontario, Canada. He obtained his Ph.D. in History at the University of Western Ontario. He is interested in the social and cultural history of Ontario, placed within a North American framework.
