圖書名稱:British and Irish Pug Moths - Lepidoptera: A Guide to Their Identification and Biology
內容簡介
Pug moths (Geometridae: Eupithecia, Chloroclystis, Pasiphila and Gymnoscelis) are probably the most difficult of the macrolepidoptera to identify. The authors of this book describe in great detail the biology and characters of all stages of the 52 species from Britain and Ireland, with individual maps showing their known distribution on a vice-country basis and copious illustrations. Particular emphasis is placed on the identification of confusible species with detailed black-and-white drawings of the wing-patterns, genitalia and main diagnostic features of the adults, and also of the larvae. In addition, there are three sets of colour plates depicting the adults first in taxonomic order; secondly with similar species grouped together for easier comparison; and thirdly in their natural postures in a series of 60 superb colour photographs.
