Continuing from Part One, the series presents the law reports on facing pages of the original text, in its 18th-century spelling and orthography, and modern commentary. The cases are important historical sources themselves, but also represent the earliest law reports from colonial North America. The young Quincy (1744-75) summarized cases heard by the Superior Court of Judicature of the Province of Massachusetts Bay, the precursor of the state's supreme court today.
