Michele Doucette holds a Master’s Degree in Literacy Education from Mount Saint Vincent University (Halifax, Nova Scotia). A native of Truro, Nova Scotia (referred to as Cobequid during the time of the Acadian people), she has been living on the west coast of Newfoundland since 1985. Employed as a Special Education teacher, she feels blessed to work with such Mighty Spirits. An avid reader and researcher, Michele has always been fascinated with history. Just as passionate about genealogy, she has spent the last fifteen years validating, sourcing and accruing pertinent documents related to her family history. A successful mtDNA recipient, she continues to encourage others to do the same, especially in light of the fact that current DNA testing is serving to both prove and rewrite history. She credits Nick Bunick, subject of The Messengers: A True Story of Angelic Presence and the Return to the Age of Miracles, for leading her into the adventurous realms of the metaphysical unknown. As a result, she has been managing the website, Portals of Spirit, since the dawn of the millennium. She holds firm in her belief that the quality of our world depends upon the quality of our thoughts as individuals. A member of WANL (Writer’s Association of Newfoundland and Labrador) as well as a dedicated author of spiritual, metaphysical and philosophical material, she is most excited about the release of this special edition of A Travel in Time to Grand Pré, her first novel.
