Xpect the unXpected After graduating from medical school in Beirut, Peter and John head back to their families in the USA. Working as physicians for the government, they regularly treat CIA agents and powerful politicians. John soon enters politics, while Peter, newly married and moves into private practice. After a brief affair, Peter is on his own bringing up Kate, the daughter of recently deceased friends. Kate eventually works as Peter’s receptionist and loses her heart to John, who’s relentlessly climbing the political ladder. Equally attracted to Kate, John seduces her one night. Realizing that Kate’s unplanned pregnancy could destroy his political ambitions, his true nature is soon revealed as he attempts to kill both Kate and the unborn child. Peter rescues Kate in extraordinary circumstances — just in time. Knowing that John will try again, he sends Kate to live with his university friend in Beirut. Muhammad and Zahra treat Kate and her son, as if they were their own family, but their idyll is soon shattered as war resumes in their beautiful city. Kate must take her son to America — a place she’s not seen for sixteen years. John, now President of the United States, thinks all his troubles are over and doesn’t EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED.
