To find a life worth writing about I stuck my thumb out at 19 to explore America and beyond. It’s been quite an adventure since and I’m still writing the crest to wherever it’s taking me. There are many things I would’ve done differently if I’d known better. Rides I would’ve taken advantage of, roads I wouldn’t have taken. But I am the writer I am today because I did what I had to do to survive. Looking back, I’m lucky to be alive many times over, and I’ve witnessed and held in my hands strangers and loved ones who didn’t make it on the way. I’m grateful I had the freedom to meet the people I’ve met, and the nerve to make those choices to create a family while it was happening. I see my life as half full, with many goals still to accomplish, and I’m a better man because of the life I’ve lived thus far. Jozeph Picasso Alien Adventures are based on those personal stories, fictionalized and twisted together into a sci-fi tale to fit within these pages.
