Lew Decker is a retired middle school teacher who makes his home in San Diego, California. He has held more than fifteen positions in a variety of career paths ranging from cartographer to charter boat captain, including a stint in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam era. A veteran blue-water yachtsman, Lew spent several years in the Caribbean sailing circuit and is the only person on his block who has been shipwrecked on a deserted island. Today he enjoys adult league baseball, fly fishing, road trips, and amateur radio (KJ6G), and is an avid follower of vintage car racing.
