Bi Parchamaan, the Flagless Ones: An Iranian Refugee Family’s Story

A story of good-and then evil. A story of euphoria-and then Hell. And, finally, at last, a story of perseverance, faith, determination, achievement and victory. Fleeing for their very lives and the lives of their children, an Iranian family finds heartbreak, agony, bigotry and hatred before finally finding the good that exists in some people. Weep and laugh with Hassan and his family as he reveals to the world the trials and difficulties of being a refugee cut off from his native land; needing, seeking and finally finding a helping hand.

After years of struggle and disillusionment, Hassan Faramarz and his family, political refugees from Iran were finally allowed to locate in Ireland. He, his wife and children were denied asylum by country after country. Promises were made only to be broken. Offers were tendered only to be rescinded. Finances were meager and so was food. Living quarters were less than those offered to animals. At long last, thanks to the perseverance of Hassan and some acquaintances, Ireland relented and allowed the Faramarz family to become residents of the country, where they still reside and reflect in awe at the horror the family experienced and the changing of the guard in their native country of Iran.
