The Hidden Track

This gritty tale about Kayla, a biracial, underage female from North Preston (a marginalized Nova Scotian community comprised of Canada’s first and largest Black Indigenous population) depicts how she is manipulated by her close friend and lover into a life of drug and human trafficking across the Greater Toronto Area. When the boundaries of love are fused with abuse, Kayla can’t tell if she is the prey...or the predator. This fictional account examines what happens when the slave becomes the slavemaster, in a dark story about encounters behind the walls of The Hidden Track.
