When Jean Louis’ glance falls on the beautiful and sensuous Solange (Lange) Esnard, he is instantly smitten. He thinks he recognizes in Lange the spirit of his long-gone love, and he will stop at nothing to reconnect with his lover.

Solange has heard about the powers of the Black Magic Man ever since childhood, but she chalks it all down to folklore. She has no reason to believe she will attract the attention of one, especially one as powerful as Jean Louis. Happily married, she loves her husband to death. When she becomes aware of the unwelcome attention of Jean Louis, she ignores it until it becomes so invasive she begins to fear for her life.
