Ken Vanderpool began writing Crime Suspense Fiction in 2006 following an eye-opening medical procedure and an intimate encounter with his mortality. He decided it was time to complete the book he’d planned to write. Once finished, he realized writing is his passion. He plans to continue the Music City Murders series and possibly a new series as well. Ken is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with his degree in Psychology and Sociology with a concentration on Criminology. He has also graduated from the Metropolitan Nashville Citizen Police Academy, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Citizen Academy and three times graduated from the Writer’s Police Academy in Wisconsin. Ken’s first novel in the Music City Murders series, When the Music Dies, was published in 2012. Second in the series, Face the Music, was published in the summer of 2014. Number three, Stop the Music, was published in the fall of 2016. Currently in the works is number five, Remember the Music, scheduled for release in early 2019. Ken has spent his entire life in Nashville and Middle Tennessee and proudly professes, "There is no better place on earth." Ken currently lives near Nashville in Murfreesboro, Tennessee with his wife Sandra and their Cairn Terrier-ist, Molly.
