M. Lee Prescott is the author of numerous works of fiction for adults, young adults and children, among them Jigsaw, A Friend of Silence, and Song of the Spirit. Her newest contemporary romance Widow’s Island debuts in summer of 2014. Lost in Spindle City is third in the Ricky Steele mysteries and her middle-aged sleuth shows no signing of slowing down! Expect Ricky’s fourth adventure sometime in 2015. In her other life, Lee publishes extensively - books and articles -- in her field of literacy education. She is a professor of education at a small New England liberal arts college where she teaches reading and writing pedagogy (theory and practice). Her current research focuses on mindfulness and connections to reading and writing. Lee has lived in southern California, North Carolina, and various spots in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Currently, she resides on the waterfront, where she canoes, swims, gardens, and swings in her porch glider watching the ever changing spectacle of a tidal river. She is the mother of two grown sons, and spends lots of time with them, their incredible wives and her beautiful grandchildren. Aside from writing, Lee’s passions revolve around family, yoga (Kripalu is a second home), teaching, swimming, bouncing, and walking. She loves to hear from readers.
