Us Ordinary Folk

It is not my intent to write an intensive autobiography. So far, my previous books contain a few, mainly work related, autobiographical sketches. In this book, I intend to fill in some gaps, which are mainly leisure related. At first, I intended to write a book about my life with Renate, my wife. Later, I decided that this part of my life would leave out some important phases - like the events before I met Renate, and my time of contemplative thought processes - and I decided to include these phases. Dog days are normally hot and humid days, but you can also define dog days as leisure days. The latter is sufficiently unknown to make the title catchy. Besides, the year of my birth was also the Chinese zodiac year of the dog. Knowing this, and if you prefer to believe in zodiacs, you could consider all my days dog days, the best of which are leisure days, of course - again, ＂My Best Dog Days.＂
