Canadian Keir Cutler is an actor, playwright, director and scholar who has been performing his original works across Canada and the US since 1999. He has appeared at various theatre and fringe festivals, including six times at Centaur Theatre’s Wildside Festival in his hometown of Montreal. Keir has been called "one hell of a storyteller!" by Vue Weekly in Edmonton, "gloriously funny" by the Orlando Sentinel and "formidably delightful" by New York’s Off-Off Broadway Review. Keir has an MA and PhD in theatre from Wayne State University in Detroit, a playwriting diploma from the National Theatre School of Canada and has a BA from McGill University. He is the playwright/performer of nine monologues and the author of many plays, including the two hander Teaching Hamlet which he’s performed with Brett Watson, directed by Paul Hopkins. His solo works include the multiple-award-winning Teaching Shakespeare, which he has performed steadily since 1999. In 2016, Keir performed in the lecture hall at Shakespeare’s Globe in London, England, during the Shakespearean Authorship Trust’s annual conference.
