Lucy Costigan first discovered the magic of writing as a young child. Since then, writing has played an integral part in her life and work. Lucy has had four books published in Ireland, including her bestselling biography, Glenveagh Mystery: The Life, Work and Disappearance of Arthur Kingsley Porter (Merrion, 2012). Strangest Genius: The Stained Glass of Harry Clarke (with photographer Michael Cullen) was shortlisted for Best Irish Published Book by the Irish Book Awards in 2010. Lucy’s groundbreaking book, Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace (Columba Press, 1998) was the first book published in Ireland on the subject. Lucy is also the author of Irish Guide to Complementary and Alternative Therapies (Wolfhound Press, 1997). Lucy has worked in the diverse areas of editing, computer programming, technical writing, counselling and social care. After working for many years in Dublin, and in Santa Clara, California, Lucy now lives in her home town of Wexford. One of Lucy’s most memorable experiences was witnessing the sun enter the chamber in Newgrange on the Winter Solstice. For further information or to contact the author visit www.lucycostigan.com.
