Four Wonders

Set in the Fens during the Civil War of the 1640's, Four Wonders is a novella that explores the nature of magic. When the narrator's abusive father sells her to a mysterious stranger, a new exciting world opens to her.  Her new master, Reynauld Sely, is a man of many talents:  alchemist, historian, possessor of arcane secrets, and member of a Guild whose quest is the pursuit of Truth, and he is eager to share his knowledge. Yet this is a time in which the boundaries between science and magic are poorly defined and both may be interpreted as witchcraft . . .
