After graduating from college as a civil engineer, Annette Owen had hoped to work in the developing world under the auspices of missionary society. When this door to Christian service was closed, she applied to become an ordained minister but was turned down by the selection committee. She was however, able to exercise a very fulfilled ministry as a clergy wife. Unfortunately, her clergy husband harboured dark secrets in his life of which Annette was totally unaware until a situation arose which resulted in a the murder of a senior cleric who had previously been a police officer. The effect of this crime had an unexpected impact on the course of Annette's life.
