Dr. Phillip Marksdale is a neurotic, self-absorbed, materialistic, and narcissistic psychiatrist who finds himself in quite the pickle. He tries desperately to keep hidden a deep dark secret while, at the same time, trying to corral a wild group of misfit patients he only agreed to take on while under pressure put upon him by a sinister college nemesis. Coming from all walks of life, each of his new patients brings with them their own peculiarities, and the doctor fears he is no match for this new group of patients.
And if that were not enough on his plate, the good doctor has a court order obligation looming, due on a date he dreads having to meet. All of this unfolds as one of his patients decides to go AWOL in search of a new life leaving the doctor’s spool unwinding.
In search of his AWOL patient, Dr. Marksdale discovers he is in dire need of some kind of intervention, while his search takes him and his group from Seattle to Park City, Utah. What he and each of his patients find along the way is more than any of them bargained for and would transform each and every one of their lives. Although Dr. Marksdale, on more than one occasion, recognizes everyone is a bit odd in their own way, he finds there are peculiar people everywhere. And he is no exception.
This group of misfits and their self-appointed entitled psychiatrist will warm your heart and make your sides ache from laughter.
