Sunday Light

The Sunday Night Journal is a series of short essays that appeared every week for the better part of a decade on the blog Light on Dark Water (www.lightondarkwater.com). The subjects include books, music, movies, politics, Catholic faith, Catholic doubt, cigarettes, lawn mowers, love, sex, marriage, cats, dogs, and others. The project attracted a small but enthusiastic and supportive audience, and the author has been encouraged in his hope that the best of them are worth preserving in a convenient form; hence this book, which contains roughly one fourth of the journal entries.
