The Virus II: Searching for people and looking for a new home

It has been six months the since the Carstairs family came to the community in North Georgia. The first day they arrived a trailer load of drug addicts had arrived ahead of them intending to take over the town. What is the best way to control a bunch of druggies who are coming down? You offer them the drugs you ripped off from their supplier boss that you killed a few hours earlier. Six months later everything is going well until a retired army colonel decides to join forces with a street gang and take the town. John Carstairs and Ralph Bishop who happens to be a math genius leave to find more people and see what is going on in the outside world. What they find is there are some good people but there is no shortage of bad people. At the same time, a six people crew head South in search of a better place to farm. They also find a mix of good and bad folks. One major surprise is the widowed wife of the man who killed all of people living in the subdivision John and his family lived in shows up in the town with a new boyfriend. She claims she did not know her husband was dead or what he did.
