Originally published in 1920, this pageant celebrates the life and times of the medieval philosopher and scientist Roger Bacon. Written and performed by students of Columbia University, the pageant features a variety of scenes depicting Bacon’s accomplishments, including his experiments with gunpowder and his contributions to the study of optics and astronomy.
