The Ethics of Karbala investigates the relationship between religious myths and the development of character, focusing on the warrior ethos as expressed in accounts of the Battle of Karbala, as well as on the place of the martial virtues in modern life and warfare.

Cyrus Ali Zargar is Al-Ghazali Distinguished Professor at the Department of Philosophy, the University of Central Florida, USA.
