Muhammad Shujaat Mubarik is a Professor and Dean College of Business Management (CBM), Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi. Dr. Mubarik brings more than 18 years of blended-experience from industry, academia, and research. His areas of interest are supply chain management, sustainability, and intellectual capital. He has more than 100 research papers (Clarivate/Scopus/ABDC/ABS indexed) published in journals of high repute, including Technological Forecasting and Social Change journal, Journal of Cleaner Production, International Journal of Production Research, Business Strategy and Environment, Journal of Intellectual Capital, Management Decision Journal, European Journal of Innovation Management, International Journal of Emerging Markets, and Social Indicator Research. He also has 04 books to his credit. Dr. Mubarik has also contributed various book chapters in the international best-selling handbooks; prominent among them are Palgrave’s Handbook on Cross-Cultural Negotiation and The Palgrave Handbook of Corporate Sustainability in the Digital Era. He is also a consultant and corporate trainer and has extended his services to many multinational and national firms. Dr. Mubarik regularly appears in TV shows to share his opinion on national and international economics and business affairs.
Sharfuddin Ahmed Khan is an Assistant Professor in Industrial System Engineering at University of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada since January, 2022. Prior to that he has worked as Assistant Professor in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management department at University of Sharjah, UAE from September, 2019 to December, 2021 and lecturer in the same department from September, 2009 to August, 2019. He holds PhD in Engineering (Industrial Engineering) from University of Quebec, Ecole de Technologie Superieure (ÉTS), Montreal, Canada in January, 2018, MSc in Industrial and Systems Engineering from National University of Singapore (NUS) Singapore in June, 2006, and Bachelors of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi Pakistan in April, 2004. He published more than 80 journal articles in well-reputed journals such as Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, International Journal of Production Research, Production Planning and Control, Knowledge Base System, Expert Systems with Application, Journal of Cleaner Production, Management Decisions, Technology in Society, Business Strategy and Environment, IEEE Transactions in Engineering Management, and Operations Management Research are some of them. In addition to that, he has five years of industrial experience in the field of supply chain management, warehouse management and inventory management at BASF Chemicals and ExxonMobil. His research interest includes but is not limited to Supply chain management, Sustainability, Supply chain mapping, Circular economy, Performance measurement & improvement and Multi-criteria decision making.
Simonov Kusi-Sarpong, Ph.D, is a Senior Lecturer in Operations Management at Southampton Business School, University of Southampton, UK. He received the PhD in Management Science and Engineering from Dalian University of Technology, China. Simonov’s research focuses on emerging and developing economies and investigates how green and sustainable initiatives such as lean operations, sustainable supply chains, sustainable risk analysis, circular economy, Industry 4.0, blockchain, reverse logistics, etc. and their synergies could be used to achieve sustainable operational excellence and supply chain performance. His works have been published in journals such as the Technological Forecasting and Social Change; Omega: The International Journal of Management Science; International Journal of Production Economics; International Journal of Production Research; Journal of Cleaner Production; Production Planning and Control; Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice; Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review; Journal of the Operational Research Society; Industrial Management and Data Systems; Resources Policy; and Resources, Conservation and Recycling among others. Simonov is a reviewer for many reputable journals and currently an Editorial Board Member for the journal Resources Conservation and Recycling.
Steve Brown, DPhil, is currently an Honorary Professor at Sussex Business School, University of Sussex, UK and was previously Professor of Operations Management at Southampton Business School, University of Southampton, UK. He was Head of the Operations Supply and Project Management Group, the Academic Lead for the School’s EQUIS accreditation, and the module coordinator for Operations Management within the Business School at the University of Southampton. Professor Brown is a Visiting Professor: Zicklin School of Business Baruch College, City University, New York; TIAS Business School (formerly NIMBAS - Holland). He has written 12 books and over 100 papers. He was Editor in Chief for the International Journal of Operations & Production Management, which is the leading European Journal on Operations Management and in the top three in the world in its field. Under his leadership IJOPM improved its ranking from 3 to 4. He remains an Associate Editor for IJOPM. He is also on the Editorial Board for Technovation - a leading journal in Technology Management and he regularly act as a referee for a range of journals including the Journal of Operations Management, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies and the International Journal of Technology Management.
Syed Imran Zaman, PhD is an Assistant Professor at Jinnah University for Women, one of Pakistan’s leading women’s university. He is having five years of adjunct teaching experience in the Wuhan Summer School program. He completed his Ph.D. in 2018 from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China. He has five years of corporate experience in Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd. He has many international research publications to his credit in journals such as Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics, International Journal of Finance and Economics, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, International Journal of Emerging Markets etc., as well as attending international research conferences. He has supervised numerous final theses of bachelor and master level students.
