Prof. Ashok Kumar is a Chair Professor of Bioengineering at the Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. He received his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. He conducted his postdoctoral research at Nagoya University, Japan, and Lund University, Sweden. He has published more than 230 research papers, edited five books, has many patents granted/filed and has transferred technologies to industry. His areas of research interest include biomaterials, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, bioprocess engineering and environmental Biotechnology. Prof. Kumar has been conducting active National and International research collaborations and has been recognized by various awards and appreciations for his outstanding research contributions.
Dr. Sneha Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioengineering & Biotechnology at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, India. She received her Ph.D. in the domain of Nanobiotechnology from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi. She has published many peer-reviewed research papers, book chapters, edited books, and patents to her credit. Her research interests span in Nanobiotechnology, Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering, Phytomedicines, Antimicrobials & Regenerative medicine specializing on the development of different nanomaterials, phytobioactives and smart biomaterials for biomedical applications while conducting active research collaborations with institute of eminence nationally and internationally.
Dr. Prerna Singh is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow in BSBE Department, IIT Kanpur, India. She received her Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology from BHU, India in 2017. Her research areas include biomaterials, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, stem cell research, and phytomedicine. She has significant peer-reviewed research articles, granted patent, book chapters and edited issues in journals under her scientific accomplishments. She is presently working in the area of biocompatible scaffolds for bone and soft tissue engineering. She has been involved in international and national collaborative research work with: Aalto University, Finland; IIT Delhi; SKUAST, Kashmir; BIT Mesra and BHU.
