Dr. Oleg Sergiyenko has B.S. and M.S. degrees (Laurea) from Kharkiv National University of Automobiles and Highways, Kharkiv, Ukraine. He obtained a Ph.D. degree from Kharkiv National Polytechnic University in "Tools and methods of non-destructive control" in 1997, and DSc (Postdoc) degree from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics in 2018. He has published 6 books (1 authored and 5 edited volumes), has written 23 book chapters, 161 papers indexed in SCOPUS (h-index 22), and holds 2 patents in Ukraine and 2 patents in Mexico. Since 1994 he has presented his research works in several International Congresses of IEEE, ICROS, SICE, IMEKO, etc. Engineering Institute of Baja California Autonomous University offered Dr. Sergiyenko a researcher position in 2004. He is currently the Head of Applied Physics Department of Engineering Institute of Baja California Autonomous University, Mexico, director of several master’s and doctorate thesis. Dra. Wendy Flores-Fuentes obtained a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from the Autonomous University of Baja California in 2001, a master’s degree in engineering from Technological Institute of Mexicali in 2006, and a Ph.D. degree in science, applied physics, with emphasis on Optoelectronic Scanning Systems for SHM, from Autonomous University of Baja California in June 2014. She has authored 36 journal articles in Elsevier, IEEE, Emerald and Springer journals, 18 book chapters, and 8 books with Springer, Intech and IGI Global Lambert Academic, 46 proceedings articles in IEEE ISIE 2014-2022, IECON 2014, 2018, 2019, the World Congress on Engineering and Computer Science (IAENG 2013), IEEE Section Mexico IEEE ROCC2011, and the VII International Conference on Industrial Engineering ARGOS 2014. Recently, she has organized and participated as Chair of Special Session on ’’Machine Vision, Control and Navigation’’ at IEEE ISIE 2015-2022 and IECON 2018, 2019, 2022. She has participated as Guest Editor at Journal of Sensors with Hindawi, The International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems with SAGE, IEEE Sensors, and Elsevier Measurement. She is now a full-time professor at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, at the Faculty of Engineering. She has joined CONACYT National Research System in 2015, and is currently at level 2. Dr. Julio C. Rodríguez-Quiñonez (Senior Member, IEEE) obtained a B.S. degree in CETYS, Mexico in 2007. He received his Ph.D. from Baja California Autonomous University, México, in 2013. He is currently Full-Time Researcher Professor in the Engineering Faculty of the Autonomous University of Baja California, and a member of the National Research System Level 1. He is involved in developing an optical scanning prototype in the Measurement and Instrumentation Laboratory, research leader in developing a new stereo vision system prototype, and research leader in novel approaches for inertial navigation systems. He has been thesis director of several Doctor’s and Master’s degree students. He holds 3 patents pertaining to dynamic triangulation method and laser scanners, has been editor of 4 books, and author of a book "Graphical Programming using LabVIEW: Fundamentals and Advanced Techniques", Guest Editor of Measurement, IEEE Sensors Journal, International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems and Journal of Sensors, written 100 papers indexed in Scopus (h-index 19). Dr. Jesús E. Miranda-Vega has a B.S. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Tecnológico Nacional de México/IT de Los Mochis, a master’s degree in electronic engineering from Tecnológico Nacional de México/IT de Mexicali, and a Ph.D. degree in science and applied physics from the Autonomous University of Baja California, in December 2019, and also received Honorable Mention (Cum Laude). He is currently Full-Time Researcher Professor in the Tecnológico Nacional de México/IT de Mexicali. He has written 6 book chapters, 10 journal papers and 6 proceedings conference papers. He holds the copyright of several computer programs. He has been a reviewer of several articles in IEEE Sensors, International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems with SAGE. He was organizer and session chair of IECON 2022 (Bruselas). Recently, he has been invited as Guest Editor in Entropy MDPI 2023. He has been the co-director thesis of a master’s degree student. He joined CONACYT National Research System in 2021. His research interests include machine vision, machine learning, data signal processing, theory and optoelectronics devices, and their applications.
