Teaching Public Administration with Pop Culture

This book offers faculty teaching in public administration and public affairs programs a playbook for using popular culture as a pedagogical tool in the classroom.

Erin L. Borry is Associate Professor and Director of the Master of Public Administration Program in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her research interests include rules, red tape, social equity, and public administration in pop culture. She has published in Public Administration Review, Public Administration, International Public Management Journal, Public Integrity, Journal of Public Affairs Education and American Review of Public Administration among others.

Peter A. Jones is Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and teaches in the Master of Public Administration program. His research has appeared in the Journal of Public Affairs Education, Policy Studies Journal, the American Review of Public Administration, the International Journal of Public Administration, the International Journal of Public Sector Management, and the Journal of Higher Education Theory and Practice.
