Jean-Francois Denault is Canadian consultant specializing in marketing projects and competitive intelligence. Past clients include advertising agencies, marketing research firms, government agencies and private companies. He has global experience, with projects in Europe, Asia, Middle East and North America. Mr. Denault has extensive experience with companies in Life Sciences (biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, nutraceuticals and healthcare) and has been involved with over 50 life science startups since starting in 2002, as well as a number of large corporations, government agencies and life science associations.
In the last few years, he has shifted his activities to include mentoring and guiding new startups as they initiate their journey into commercialization. He has also been involved with mentoring activities for Canadian organizations (Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal, Next AI and Futerpreneur) as well as a number of international organizations such as European Institute of Science and Technologies, The Shonan Technology Park (Japan) and ConnectInnov (Tunisia).
Denault has an executive MBA (specialization in life science), and a graduate degree in communication. He also has a graduate degree in consulting management, a bachelor in international commerce, a certificate in financial analysis and an undergraduate degree in East Asian studies. He is the author of "The Handbook of Market Research for Life Science Companies" (which was designated as ’notable’ as an Outstanding Business Reference Source by BRASS Business Reference Sources Committee 2018) as well as "The Handbook of Marketing Strategy for Life Science Companies" - both published by Routledge.
Philippe Tramoy is a French venture capital investor in charge of a deep tech seed fund investments in the Life Sciences sector and board member of several startups, including Scipio Bioscience and Pep-Therapy. Before joining a capital innovation company, he acquired more than 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur and business developer for startups and large companies.
He has a Master in Biochemstry from the University of Burgundy, a Master in Immunology and Molecular Biology from Ecole Normale Supérieure Lyon, a Master in Finance from Sorbonne’s business school IAE Paris and a Master in Marketing from HEC Paris.
Outside of investment management and evaluating start-ups, he is a frequent speaker at European events where he shares his perspective with Life Science investors and participates in activities where he connects with European start-ups. He has also served in numerous Juries for competitions where start-ups have the opportunity to get funding and grants.
