Dr. Muammer Kaya was born in Eskisehir-Turkey in 1960. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in the Mining Engineering Department of Eskisehir Osmangazi University (ESOGU) in 1981. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the Metallurgical Engineering Department of McGill University in Canada in 1985 and 1989, respectively. He has close to 200 national and international publications/presentations and contributed twenty chapters in the edited international books. He published two The Minerals, Metals & Materials (TMS) Series books from Springer in 2019 and 2022 (Hard cover ISBN: 978-3-030-26592-2; Serial ISSN: 2367-1181 and DOI: 10.1007/978-3-031-14685-5). The title of the books were Electronic Waste and Printed Circuit Board Recycling Technologies and Recycling Technologies for Secondary Zinc and Lead Resources. Prof. Kaya is now working at ESOGU as the Dean of Engineering and Architectural Faculty.
