Dr. Mala Trivedi, Professor, Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Head, Directorate of Research and Publications, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. She is recipient of double Gold Medal from University of Allahabad during her M.Sc. 1993. She did her PhD in Plant Genetics and Breeding from Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, (CIMAP) (CSIR), Lucknow. She was Research associate at Institute of Cell Biology, School of Life Sciences, Lanzhou University, Lanzhou, P.R. China. She has good experience in plant transgenics. She has published more than 60 research papers in leading journals of National and international repute. Dr. Trivedi has published two books and several book chapters with international publishers. She has 5 Indian and 2 US patents to her credit. She is a member of many prestigious societies. She was also visiting faculty at the University of Lanzhou, Lanzhou PR China. Currently she is involved in mass multiplications of economically important plants (horticulture and medicinal plants). She is PI of a DBT funded project and supervise 12 PhD scholars so far.
Dr. Sachidanand Singh, presently working as a Professor of Biotechnology, Dean Allied Sciences and IQAC head with academic and administrative responsibilities at Sankalchand Patel University, Visnagar, Gujarat, India. His education belongs from an engineering background i.e., B.Tech Biotechnology, M.Tech. Bioinformatics, PhD Bioinformatics and postdoctoral experience comes from Ohio State University, College of Pharmacy, USA. He has more than 13 years of experience in teaching, administration and research. Work experience includes Karunya University, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, Vignan University. His research area includes Plant Biotechnology, metagenomics, Systems Biology, Network Biology, Micro RNA-based studies, Expression Data Analytics, Next-generation Sequencing and Statistical Genetics. His present focus also includes understanding the Canonical and non-canonical pathways of miRNA Biogenesis, Dynamics and mechanisms of miRNA- mediated Gene Regulation. He teaches different subjects, especially Genomics and Proteomics, Microarray and Image Analysis, Drug Design and Molecular Modelling for graduate and postgraduate students. He has published more than 60 research and review articles in peer reviewed journals, 9 Patents published among which 5 are granted. Out of the research and review publications 40 percent of publications (Book Chapters, Edited Books, Review article and research articles) are on plant-based studies in association to Soil microbiome, herbal drug formulation, drug design and microbe-microbe interactions and their expression-based studies. He has completed one SERB, Govt. of India funded project, two University research grant projects. He has received several awards in his area of research and for his teaching strategies. He has organized different conferences and workshops and received Govt. funds for the same. He has shared his area of expertise with different colleges and universities as invited speakers in different conferences and workshops. He has guided 36 B.Tech. and 10 M.Tech. projects. He has awarded 3 PhD students and presently 6 PhD students are working under him in the field of Herbal products, drug Design and integrating with network biology. He has already edited three Books under Springer and Taylor and Francis publishing group. He has a collaboration with Mendel University Czech Republic, Europe, Lund University, Sweden and Monash University Australia.
Dr. Parul Johri, Faculty, Department of Biotechnology, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped, Kanpur Uttar Pradesh India. She is a recipient of Gold Medal from Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil University Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. She did her PhD from Amity University Uttar Pradesh. Her expertise includes Bioinformatics, Genomics, Proteomics, Biostatistics and Metagenomics. She has published more than 20 research papers in various journals of National and International repute. Dr. Johri has edited a book and have written more than 15 book chapters with various National and International publishers. She has 2 Indian patents to her credits. She has received various funds like the DBT CTEP, NCW, ATAL AICTE for conducting Lecture series, Sensitization Programs and FDPs. Currently she is involved in algorithm development for protein secondary structure prediction.
Dr. Pedro López Sánchez: MD, MSc, and PhD in Pharmacology. Dr. López made a three years postdoctoral stance in Vanderbilt University, USA. He is specialist in chronic degenerative illnesses, having more than 20 years studying diabetes mellitus, hypertension and pregnancy-related hypertensive disorders, both in clinical and animal research. Renin-angiotensin aldosterone system has been his interest the last 15 years. Dr. López has conducted several research projects sponsored by the National Council of Science and Technology. He has published more than 60 research papers. He has patented several drug delivery systems based on nanoparticles. Dr. López has more than 25 years as senior lecturer in pharmacology lectures in National Polytechnic Institute School of Medicine. He is founder professor of the pharmacology MSc and the PhD program, coordinating both programs in 2009-2012 and 2012-2015, respectively. He is senior lecturer in molecular pharmacology in both programs. He is member of several societies: Mexican Pharmacology Association, Mexican Society of Physiological Sciences, National Sciences Academy, American Society of Pharmacological and Experimental Therapeutics, American Physiological Society. Dr. López is regular reviewer of several reputed journals published by Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Springer Nature, Oxford University Press, PLOS, John Wiley & Sons and Spandidos.
