Advanced Two-Dimensional Material-Based Heterostructures in Sustainable Energy Storage Devices

This book provides a detailed overview of advances and challenges in the development of 2D materials for use in energy storage devices. It offers insight into the synthesis, characterization, and application of 2D materials and their heterostructures in various energy storage devices, focusing on new phenomena and enhanced electrochemistry.

Srikanth Ponnada MRSC is a senior postdoctoral fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur. He received his Dual Degree master’s in applied chemistry from Andhra University College of Engineering and his PhD on ＂Functional materials and its Electrochemical Applications in Batteries and Sensors.＂ His current research includes functional materials synthesis, energy storage, conversion devices, electrochemical sensors, and electro-, photo-, and plasma-catalysis. He previously worked at the CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute as a Project Scientific Assistant Grade-III in lead-free perovskite-based photovoltaics and electrocatalysis and at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad as a project junior research fellow in gold nanoparticle-assisted heterogeneous catalysis in alcohol and hydrocarbon oxidation reactions.

Susmita Naskar FHEA is Assistant Professor in the faculty of Engineering & Physical Sciences at University of Southampton, U.K. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen. Dr. Naskar was a visiting fellow during this period at University of Oxford. She was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Whitting School of Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, USA. Susmita is the founding director of the Engineered Materials and Structures Laboratory at University of Southampton. Her primary area of interest is the multiscale and multiphysics analysis of physical systems, with mechanics as its epicenter. Dr. Naskar’s research findings and developments are regularly published in reputed journals and conferences.
