Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things for Smart Agriculture

The purpose of this book is to explore the fundamentals and implementation strategies of smart agriculture through the integration of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things. It examines critical aspects of planning and decision-making while providing recommendations for implementing effective intelligent agriculture solutions.

Dr. Praveen Kumar Shukla is currently serving as a Professor and Dean at the School of Engineering, Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow, UP, India. He is also an Adjunct Faculty at the SAU Centre for Research and Innovative Learning (SCRIL), South Asian University, New Delhi. Dr. Shukla is also the executive committee member and Secretary of IEEE CIS UP Chapter. Dr. Shukla holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. He also holds M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and B.Tech. in Information Technology. His research area includes Fuzzy Systems (Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Systems and Type-2 Fuzzy Systems), Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Deep Learning He has published more than 60 Papers in reputed International Conferences and International Journals. He has been honoured as keynote speaker and session chair at national/international conferences, faculty development programs and workshops.

Dr. Harshal A. Sanghvi is a Visiting Instructor and Director of Healthcare Analytics at the College of Business, Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Sanghvi has a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Florida Atlantic University. He has been teaching and training professionals in areas of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Immersive Learning, Data Mining, Business Analytics, Social Media, and Web Analytics. His research is focused on Engineering, Applied Sciences, Healthcare Analytics, Computer Vision, Clinical Decision Support Systems, Data Analytics, Neural Networks, Medical Imaging, Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence. He has a blend of industrial and academic experience, which allows him to teach and train professionals with industrial use-cases.

Dr. Ankur Agarwal is a Professor at Florida Atlantic University, USA. He has over 15 years of Academic, Administrative and Industry Experience. He has more than 80 publications in peer reviewed national and international journals, conferences, and book chapters. He has several national and international patents. He has been awarded grants by the National Science Foundation and National Institute of Health and has served as a PI and Co-PI in several projects.

Dr. Abhijit S. Pandya is a Professor at Florida Atlantic University, USA and also a Director of Clinical Trials and Research at Specialty Retina Center, FL, USA. He has over 33 years of Academic, Administrative and Industry Experience. He has more than 100 publications in peer reviewed national and international journals, conferences, and book chapters. He has several national and international patents. He has been awarded grants by the National Science Foundation and National Institute of Health and has served as a PI and Co-PI in several projects.
