Diversity in Stem: Analyzing Inequities and Improving Opportunities in Education and the Workplace

This book surveys diversity in STEM fields and provides potential solutions to improve outcomes in education, industry, and society. The book identifies where issues around diversity in STEM exist, how they were created, and how they are being addressed in education and the workforce.

Benjamin Blocker II has worked for over 25 years in Information Technology for corporate organizations, as well as an entrepreneur and instructor. Dr. Blocker’s experience includes multimedia development, development of information systems, enterprise resource planning, and eLearning systems development. He also has experience with business analysis and business development as well as biomedical research relating to human physiology, agricultural science, and animal bioscience. His experience has involved clinical research as well as the development and implementation of related information systems and software. Dr. Blocker holds a Doctorate in Information Systems and Communications from Robert Morris University, as well as a Master of Software Engineering, Master of Science in Information Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Sciences all from Pennsylvania State University.
