The ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights: Prevention, Mitigation, Remedies and Redress

This book systematically documents the practice of the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) on the protection of human rights. It provides a template of universal standards, spanning prevention, response and mitigation, and redress and remedies, from which to gauge the performance of the AICHR.

Robin Ramcharan is Lecturer in International Relations, Mahidol University International College, Thailand. He is co-founder of Asia Centre, a research institute in Bangkok. He also lectures on Asian regional governance and security to policy makers at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy.
