Ethical Artificial Intelligence in Power Electronics

This book focuses on the techniques of artificial intelligence that are mainly used in the power electronics field for the optimization of lost vehicle power. With the intention of optimizing the powerful energy of the vehicles and producing reliable energy, the most efficient methods, algorithms, and strategies of ethical artificial intelligence (AI) are being applied. By employing machine learning methods, the optimization of power energy in vehicles can be quickly recovered and managed efficiently. In today’s bustling world, power energy is indispensable for progress, yet in congested Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs), vehicles often face power depletion and decreased efficiency. This book explores these challenges, encompassing not only power but also other critical power electronics within vehicles. We aim to introduce innovative approaches, leveraging ethical AI methods, to optimize energy performance in the face of these difficulties. Through this exploration, we seek to provide practical insights into navigating congested VANET environments while upholding ethical principles in technological advancements. Our book will discuss the current power energy concerns faced by vehicles and also contribute a novel strategy to overcome those concerns. The employment of ethical AI in vehicular power energy will undoubtedly improve the effectiveness and production of vehicles.

Dr. Tarandeep Kaur Bhatia received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science Engineering from Deakin University, Australia under Higher Degree by Research Scholarship. Currently, she is working as an Assistant Professor in University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES) Bidholi, Dehradun, India. She is a Gold Medalist in her M.Tech, Computer Science & Engineering batch 2015-2017. She published many papers in reputed journals, presented several papers in many National/International conferences, and also wrote many book chapters. Dr. T.K Bhatia filed 20 Patents. She triumphantly completed and conducted many Certified Faculty Development Programmes (FDP). She successfully completed many certified trainings from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia, University of Leeds (England), and Murdoch University, Australia. Dr. Tarandeep Kaur is a ＂Member of reviewer committee＂ for the IEEE Communications Standards Magazine Journal, IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, Journal of Supercomputing, IET Communications, Physical Communications, and many more. She is also serving as an ＂Editorial and Review Board Member＂ for LC International Journal of STEM (LC-JSTEM) and Panel Member of the Technical Program Committee (TPC) of the COMS2-2021 conference. Her areas of interest are Vehicular Ad-hoc NETworks (VANETs), Data Congestion, Networking, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Salma ELHAJJAMI (Eng., Ph.D.) is an Assistant Professor and Researcher at Faculty of science, Ibn Zohr University, Agadir, Morocco since 2021. She is a Ph.D, graduated in 2021 in Computer Science, at the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Emerging Systems from ENSA, Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University, Fez, Morocco. She is a Computer Science Engineer, graduated in 2015 from National School of Applied Sciences Fez, Morocco. She has previous expertise acting in Ministry of interior Morocco as Research and Development Engineer from 2017 to 2021. She is member of International Association of Engineers (IAENG) and International Association of Online Engineering. Dr. Salma has made contributions in the fields of Social Big Data, Semantics Analytics, Anomaly Detection, and Imbalanced Big Data published at international conferences and journals. Her main research topics are Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Imbalanced Big Data, Data Science and Blockchain. She has served and continues to serve on technical program and organizer committees of several conferences also as a reviewer of numerous international journals.

Prof. Keshav Kaushik is an experienced educator with over eight years of teaching and research experience in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, and the Internet of Things. He is working as an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) in the systemic cluster under the School of Computer Science at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, India. He has published 80+ research papers in International Journals and has presented at reputed International Conferences. He is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) v11, CQI and IRCA Certified ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Lead Auditor, Quick Heal Academy Certified Cyber Security Professional (QCSP), and IBM Cybersecurity Analyst. He acted as a keynote speaker and delivered 50+ professional talks on various national and international platforms. He has edited over ten books with reputed international publishers like Springer, Taylor, and Francis, IGI Global, Bentham Science, etc. He has chaired various special sessions at international conferences and also served as a reviewer in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
Gayo Diallo is a full professor in computer science at Bordeaux University (France) since 2022 and is deputy director of the AHeaD research group of the Bordeaux Population Health (BPH) research center (BPH) Inserm-1219. Previously, he was the group leader of the Computer Sciences Applied to Health research group (ERIAS) of BPH. He joined the University of Bordeaux, Bordeaux School of Public Health (ISPED), in 2009 after being a research assistant at City University of London (UK) and PostDoc researcher at the Laboratory of Applied Computer Sciences (LISI/ENSMA) Futuroscope Poitiers (France). He graduated from University of Grenoble Joseph Fourier in 2006 and holds a degree in Business Creation obtained in 2003. His research interests include AI based approaches for healthcare data and knowledge management and ICT for Societal Development (ICT4D). He coordinated several international and regional R&D projects and has been involved or coordinated various EU or other international funded projects. Gayo was awarded a IDEX Talent mobility grant, and he has been Visiting Professor at University of Minnesota/the Institute of Health Informatics (US) during the period January-August 2022 and held for two years a part-time Inria delegation position. He is the winner of the practical application prize of the 2015 edition of the Orange Data for Development Big Data Challenge (D4D) and he authored or co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed papers on symbolic AI and digital health.
Dr. Mariya Ouaissa is currently a Professor at Institute Specializing in New Information and Communication Technologies, Researcher Associate and practitioner with industry and academic experience. She is a Ph.D. graduated in 2019 in Computer Science and Networks, at the Laboratory of Modelisation of Mathematics and Computer Science from ENSAM-Moulay Ismail University, Meknes, Morocco. She is a Networks and Telecoms Engineer, graduated in 2013 from National School of Applied Sciences Khouribga, Morocco. She is a Co-Founder and IT Consultant at IT Support and Consulting Center. She was working for School of Technology of Meknes Morocco as a Visiting Professor from 2013 to 2021. She is member of the International Association of Engineers and International Association of Online Engineering, and since 2021, she is an ＂ACM Professional Member＂. She is Expert Reviewer with Academic Exchange Information Centre (AEIC) and Brand Ambassador with Bentham Science. She has served and continues to serve on technical program and organizer committees of several conferences and events and has organized many Symposiums/Workshops/Conferences as a General Chair also as a reviewer of numerous international journals. Dr. Ouaissa has made contributions in the fields of information security and privacy, Internet of Things security, and wireless and constrained networks security. Her main research topics are IoT, M2M, D2D, WSN, Cellular Networks, and Vehicular Networks. She has published over 20 papers (book chapters, international journals, and conferences/workshops), 8 edited books, and 5 special issue as guest editor.

Inam Ullah Khan is the Founder of Internet of Flying Vehicles-Lab at AI-EYS. Recently, he is working as Global Mentor/ Guest Lecturer at Impact Xcelerator, IE School of Science and Technology, Madrid, Spain. Previously, he was working as visiting researcher at King’s College London, United Kingdom. Also, he was faculty member at different universities in Pakistan which include Center for Emerging Sciences Engineering & Technology (CESET), Islamabad, Abdul Wali Khan University, Garden Campus, Timergara Campus, University of Swat & Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST), Islamabad Campus. He completed his Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from Department of Electronic Engineering, Isra University, Islamabad Campus, School of Engineering & Applied Sciences (SEAS). Also, he did his M.S. degree in Electronic Engineering at Department of Electronic Engineering, Isra University, Islamabad Campus, School of Engineering & Applied Sciences (SEAS). He had done undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Computer Science from Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Pakistan. Apart from that his Master’s thesis is published as a book on topic ＂Route Optimization with Ant Colony Optimization (ACO)＂ in Germany which is avaliable on Amazon. He authored/coauthored more than 50 research articles in reputable journals, conferences and book chapters. More interestingly he recently introduced a novel routing protocol E-ANTHOCNET in the area of flying ad hoc networks. His research interest includes Network System Security, Intrusion Detection, Intrusion Prevention, cryptography, Optimization techniques, WSN, IoT, Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETS), Flying Ad Hoc Networks, and Machine Learning. He has served international conferences as Technical program committee member which include, EAI International Conference on Future Intelligent Vehicular Technologies, Islamabad, Pakistan and 2nd International Conference on Future Networks and Distributed Systems, Amman, Jordan, June 26-27, 2018, International Workshop on Computational Intelligence and Cybersecurity in Emergent Networks (CICEN’21) that will be held in conjunction with the 12th International Conference on Ambient Systems, Networks and Technologies (EUSPN2021) which is co-organized in November 1-4, 2021, Leuven, Belgium. Also, he was technical program committee member at international workshop on intelligent systems for sustainable smart cities, New Delhi, India, February 19-20, 2022. In addition, he served his first book as editor on title: ＂Computational Intelligence for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Communication Networks＂ Studies in Computational Intelligence at Springer. While, he is currently editing his 2nd book as editor on title: big data Analytics and Computational Intelligence for Cyber Security. In 2022, his third book as editor is accepted on topic ＂Machine Intelligence for Internet of Medical Things: Applications and Future Trends＂ at Bentham Science Publisher LTD. Currently, he served as special session chair at International Conference on Advances in Communication Technology and Computer Engineering ICACTCE’22 on topic: Fusion of Emerging Technologies: Communication Networks & Future Applications. Also, he is Guest Editor with many journals which include Computers, Materials & Continua, EAI Endorsed Transactions on Internet of Things, EAI Endorsed Transaction on Smart Cities and MDPI Information. Apart from that he is General Chair at International Conference on Trends and Innovations in Smart Technologies (ICTIST’22), virtually from London, United Kingdom. More interestingly, he was invited as technology expert many times on Pakistan National Television. Now a day’s he is working as Technical Program Chair at 1st International Conference Computing Systems & Smart Applications, 2023.
