Internet and Gender in Kazakhstan: A Decolonial Feminist Perspective on Women’s Roles in the Digital Age

This book offers an empirically rich and theoretically compelling analysis of how the Internet is influencing societal attitudes towards women’s roles and agency in Kazakhstan. Jasmin Dall’Agnola is a postdoctoral researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology’s Department of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences (D-GESS) in Zurich, Switzerland. Her research focuses on the relationship between gender, technology and surveillance in authoritarian societies. She has published widely in scholarly journals and publishers and is the Associated Editor for Research Notes at Central Asian Survey.
