Rajendra Chalisgaonkar, former Engineer-in-Chief, Irrigation Department, Govt. of Uttarakhand, India, graduated from Madhav Institute of Technology & Science, Gwalior, India, in 1978 in Civil Engineering and then obtained an M.E.(Structural Engineering) in 1982 from the University of Roorkee, now IIT Roorkee. He was also Managing Director, Uttarakhand Project Development and Construction Corporation Ltd., a government of Uttarakhand enterprise. He was responsible for the development of irrigation, policy making at the apex level, planning, management and construction of water resources and infrastructure projects. He has more than 40 years of varied experience, which includes investigation, planning, design, research and CAD applications, construction and has also worked on prestigious projects of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand in India. He has authored two books on Computer Aided Concrete Mix Design and Design of Breast Walls - A Practical Solution Approach and authored more than 125 research papers published in various journals and symposia. He has also delivered Keynote/Special Lectures at various institutes and organisations. After superannuation, he has been engaged as Adjunct Professor at MITS, Gwalior, Water Resources & Hydropower Consultant, IIT Roorkee, Dam Safety Management Expert, National Dam Safety Authority, Consultant, DMR Hydroengineering & Infrastructures Ltd., Consultant, NJS Engineers India Ltd., Consultant, DHI, India, Water & Environment Pvt. Ltd. and other organizations. He is the recipient of many prestigious awards including Life Time Achievement Award-2021 by Indian Society for Hydraulics, CBIP-Young Engineers Award-1992, IEI-HYDROSEM Award-1996, IEI-Eminent Engineers Award-2014, IEI-Engineering Excellence in Field Award-2017, IEI-Eminent Authors Award-2021, CBIP-D.B. Anand Medal-1992, Gwalior Ratna-1997, among other honours.
Mukesh Mohan, former Engineer-in-Chief, Irrigation Department, Govt. of Uttarakhand and Managing Director, Uttarakhand Project Development and Construction Corporation Ltd., obtained his B. E.(Civil Engg.) and M.E.(Hydraulics Engg.) from Univ. of Roorkee, now IIT Roorkee in 1985 and 1987. He has an experience of more than 35 years in the field of design, planning, management and construction of water resource structures, Water Supply Projects and Sewerage Projects, Sewerage network & Sewage treatment plant. Mr. Mukesh Mohan was involved in planning, survey & construction work of Barrage & allied structures along with 4.50 km long Head Race Tunnel of 304 MW Maneri Bhali Stage-II Hydro Electric Project, Uttarkashi, India. He was also involved in laying of water supply network, Sewer networks and sewerage treatment plants in Roorkee and Dehradun cities. He has co-authored 10 research papers, which has been published in journals and symposia. Mr. Mukesh Mohan is recipient of prestigious IEI-Eminent Engineers Award from Uttarakhand State Centre for his contributions in the field of water resources.
