This book explores the applications and advancements of Federated Learning across diverse sectors, focusing on its integration with cutting-edge technologies like IoT, AI, Blockchain, and Digital Twins.
Prof. S. JAYACHITRA, presently working as an Assistant Professor at PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul, India. She received B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai and M.E degree in Communication Systems from Anna University, Chennai and also pursuing her Ph.D degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India. She has published more than 25 research articles in reputed International Journals which are indexed in Scopus. She has won two best paper awards and been granted 22 patents. Further, she has published more than 5 Books under reputed publishers. With her expertise she has delivered a session more than 20 on various titles. She has 9.5 years of teaching experience, and her research interests include Internet of Things, Edge Computing, Healthcare, Medical Imaging System,5G/6G networks.
Dr. A. PRASANTH received the B.E degree from Anna University, Chennai and the M.E degree in Computer Science and Engineering (with specialization in Networks) from Anna University, Chennai and also received a Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India. He served as a Recognized Ph.D. Supervisor. Five Scholars are pursuing their research, and two completed their Ph.D under his guidance. His name was included in the World’s Top 2% of Scientists list in the years 2023 and 2024, released by Elsevier & Stanford University, United States. He served as a Doctoral Committee (DC) member for 8 Ph.D scholars. He has published more than 45 Research articles in International Journals/Conference proceedings among which 20 were indexed in SCI and 24 were indexed in Scopus. His h-index is 20 and i10 index is 24. Moreover, he has published 10 patents at the National and International level. He also published 12 books under reputed international publishers. He is currently working as an Associate Professor at Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India. His research interests include the Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Wireless Sensor Networks, Ad hoc Networks, and Computer Networks.
Dr.Rajesh Kumar Dhanaraj is a distinguished Professor at Symbiosis International (Deemed University) in Pune, India. Before joining Symbiosis International University, he served as a Professor at the School of Computing Science & Engineering at Galgotias University in Greater Noida, India. His academic and research achievements have earned him a place among the Top 2% of scientists globally, a recognition bestowed upon him by Elsevier and Stanford University. He earned his B.E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University Chennai, India, in 2007. Subsequently, he obtained his M.Tech degree from Anna University Coimbatore, India, in 2010. His relentless pursuit of knowledge culminated in a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Anna University, Chennai, India, in 2017. He has authored and edited over 50 books on various cutting-edge technologies and holds 22 patents. Furthermore, he has contributed over 115 articles and papers to esteemed refereed journals and international conferences, in addition to providing chapters for several books. Dr. Dhanaraj has also delivered numerous tech talks on disruptive technologies.
He has forged partnerships with esteemed professors from top QS-ranked universities around the world, fostering a global network of academic excellence. His research interests encompass Machine Learning, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Wireless Sensor Networks. Dr. Dhanaraj’s expertise in these areas has led to numerous research talks on Applied AI and Cyber Physical Systems at various esteemed institutions. Dr. Dhanaraj has earned the distinction of being a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is also a member of the Computer Science Teacher Association (CSTA) and the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). Dr. Dhanaraj’s commitment to academic excellence extends to his role as an Associate Editor and Guest Editor for renowned journals, including Elsevier Computers and Electrical Engineering, Human-centric Computing and Information Sciences, Emerald - International Journal of Pervasive Computing and Communications, and Hindawi - Mobile Information Systems.
Dr. Balasubramaniam S (IEEE Senior Member) is working as an Assistant Professor in School of Computer Science and Engineering, Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology (Formerly IIITM-K), Digital University Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. He has totally around 15+ years of experience in teaching, research and industry. He has completed his Post Doctoral Research in Department of Applied Data Science, Noroff University College, Kristiansand, Norway. He holds a Ph.D degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India in 2015. He has published nearly 20+ research papers in reputed SCI/WoS/Scopus indexed Journals. He has also granted with 1 Australian patent and 1 Indian Patent and published 3 Indian patents. He has presented papers at conferences, contributed chapters to the edited books and editor in few books published by international publishers. His research and publication interests include machine learning and deep learning-based disease diagnosis, cloud computing security, Generative AI and Electric Vehicles.
Danilo Pelusi received the degree in Physics from the University of Bologna (Italy) and the Ph.D. degree in Computational Astrophysics from the University of Teramo (Italy). Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the Department of Communication Sciences, University of Teramo. Having worked as the editor of books by reputed publishers, and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence (2017-2020), IEEE Access (2018-present), IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems (2022-present) and IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems (2022-present), he is also the guest editor for Elsevier, Springer, MDPI and Hindawi journals. Keynote speaker, Guest of Honor and Chair of IEEE conferences, he is inventor of international patents on Artificial Intelligence. World’s 2% Top Scientist 2021, his research interests include Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, Information Theory, Machine Learning and Evolutionary Algorithms.
