Jacob Van Dyk is Professor Emeritus at Western University, London, Ontario, Canada. He has forty plus years of practical experience as a medical physicist including 13 years as a senior physicist and 16 years as the head of Physics and Engineering. For over 27 years, he was a consultant at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on many projects associated with countries in the developing world, including being a full-time consultant for the IAEA in Vienna from 2009 to 2011.
