Defining the framing and manifestations of anti-Roma racism, this book explores the continuities of anti-Roma racism and its contrasts and similarities with other systems of oppression.
Margareta Matache is a Lecturer on Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and the co-founder and Director of the Roma Program at the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights, Harvard University. She is also a member of the O’Neill-Lancet Commission on Racism, Structural Discrimination, and Global Health. She is co-editor of Time for Reparations: A Global Perspective (2021) and Realizing Roma Rights (2017). Matache’s perspectives on the challenges faced by the Roma people have been disseminated globally, including The New York Times, Al Jazeera, and the Financial Times.
