Reflections from the Tenure Track: Insights and Advice for Early-Career Academics in Stem

This book draws on the author’s experiences during her journey towards tenure at a Singaporean university to offer tips for building an academic career in STEM fields. It provides an insider’s perspective to early-career academics, postdoctoral researchers and assistant professors, as well as graduate students aspiring to academic careers.

Hortense Le Ferrand is associate professor at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, in the schools of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering. She obtained her PhD degree from ETH Zurich in Switzerland before joining NTU as assistant professor on tenure-track.
