Having cut ties with the family, former mafioso Mathias Beauvais adjusts to the challenges of staying on the right side of the law-for the most part, at least. When his business draws the attention of a prominent criminal group intent on using it to disguise their smuggling operation, he may have to fall back on a few well-worn tactics to keep them at bay.

Spurred on by a deep-seated need for redemption, Rayan Ayari finds himself drawn into the escalating conflict between the residents of Calais and the city’s growing refugee population and is forced to confront the possibility that he may never absolve himself from the deeds of the past.

Meanwhile, Mathias and Rayan navigate a future together in which hiding is no longer a necessity and begin to realize just how much they’ve come to rely on one another. But when chaos strikes the Montreal underground, Mathias receives a surprise visitor from his old life who challenges his resolve to leave the family and brings his newly built world into question.
