VOLUME iiJason was not happy with all the cards fate had dealt him, so he made the choice to discard some of his cards and draw new ones. Jason changed his plan to go West and make his fortune prospecting for gold. He decided to stay in Fort Smith Arkansas to become a gunsmith and help his new friend Al promote the sale of a modification Al had designed to upgrade a Remington pistol from a muzzle-loaded handgun to a high-powered cartridge-fed pistol. His decision to stay in Ft, Smith was also swayed by a pretty young lady there. She was helping him cope with his broken heart over the beautiful Creole woman, that had set him on his quest for education.Jason’s expertise with firearms, his new-found thirst for business knowledge, along with Al’s Successful modification to The Remington Pistol, soon had Jason’s new hand looking like a winner. But that was not to be assured.
