Jesus was a Jew. Jesus was not a Christian. Few seem to grasp how very "Jewish" Jesus really was, both in life and in his death. Jews and Christians have an idea of the historical figure of Jesus but only a vague idea of his life as a Jew. Whoever he was he was born into the Law and lived under the Law his entire life until his death. As the entire life of Jesus revolved around the Law and it’s interpretation by the religious authorities of his day, and it was this Law which sentenced him to death for blasphemy, it is the Law which is the focus of this book. As the Christian religion is based on his words, his words in the Gospels will be examined against the technical issues of the Law of Moses and the Prophets. For the Law was the central issue of his ministry as he came for Israel and the Jewish people. What was his message and to whom was it for? Who really wrote and edited the Gospels?
