The elders are all members of the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists, a locus for social activism. The book features a step-by-step guide for creating an intergenerational oral history project similar to the Berkeley Fellowship Project. The book provides guidance about interview techniques, recording methods, project design, volunteer recruitment, and creating a community history celebration. It also includes curricula for six intergenerational story circles.
