Mark Boyle is Professor and Chair of Urban Studies, Director of the Heseltine Institute for Public Policy, Practice and Place at the University of Liverpool, UK. He has served as a Leverhulme Research Fellow and Isaac Manasseh Meyer Visiting Fellow (IMMF) at the National University of Singapore. He has taught introductory and advanced courses in Human Geography for more than 20 years. He has also researched and published widely in the fields of colonialism and postcolonialism, migration, diaspora and development and urban and regional development. He holds a BSc from the University of Glasgow and a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, both in Geography.
