Reach-to-Grasp Behavior: Brain, Behavior, and Modelling Across the Life Span

Reach-to-grasp behavior is one of the earliest goal-directed movements to form in infancy and remains central throughout the life span to ensure effective interactions with the surrounding world. From a unique life-span perspective, this volume sheds light onto the sensory-motor processes involved in the selection and production of reach-to-grasp behavior, bringing together cutting-edge discoveries from developmental and learning sciences, neurophysiology and brain sciences, as well as the emerging field of developmental robotics.
