The Memoir of Wendy Poulter née McGlennon. Wife of one, mother of five, teacher of hundreds, singer of songs, lover of life. The Great Depression and WWII were the background of my early years in Aldershot and N.W. London; Leeds has been the stage for my post-war life. Irish roots and the Yorkshire Dales have added riches as have Devon, Cumbria, Gloucestershire... and grandchildren! My faith, government and local legislation have imperceptibly yet inexorably played their part. My family, three headships, Community Association membership and leadership, singing and acting have provided fulfilment and fun; walking and gardening have brought relaxation and pleasure. All in all, a burnished life. (Includes over 350 b&w images)
